Catch the Light

Saturday was a lovely sunny day, and I took full advantage of it.

But then I could not decide which image to post for NF Catch the Light, so I posted all three of them...

 

Milkweed Leaf

Back in September, the milkweed leaves were dying back, but they were also catching tiny seeds.

Golden Morning

On a misty morning,

with the sun just over the horizon,

you can find gold...

Milkweed and Dewdrops

There was rain in the afternoon, till after dark, so I am not sure if these are dew drops, or rain drops.

Milkweed

I have been saving up a month of milkweed images,

waiting for the buds to develop and the blossoms open.

Now the fields smell so sweet!!!

Milkweed at Dawn

After a week with the cold from hell, I was finally able to get back out for a walk. I captured these milkweed plants just after the sun rose over the houses that form the horizon.



First Snow

Ottawa woke to the first snow of the winter.

 And I kind of went overboard

 capturing it

 on plants and boulders.

Lavender and Milkweed

Remember Lavender and Milkweed from a couple of weeks ago?

I stopped by that garden again this week, and got some different captures.

 

Lavender and Milkweed

I almost missed this one. Returning home from a walk, I saw a milkweed seed caught on a sprig of lavender.

 There was enough wind to move the milkweed, but not the lavender.

Frost

 We continue to have frosty mornings,

 which find me crawling around on the ground

  capturing the tiny crystals

before they melt to dewdrops.
