Sunflowers

I like all the little hairs on the bud of the sunflower

and the way the light comes through the petals

 



Queen Anne's Lace

The last of the Queen Anne's lace blossoms for another year...

 

Skywatch Friday

The yellow sweet clover is starting to bloom.

The flowers are tiny,

but when you see a clump of them altogether,

they light up the field.

Hen and Chicks

There were two varieties of hen and chicks. This one is named Sempervivum braunii,

and the flowers were only in bud. The smaller variety was not labeled,

but was in full bloom.

You can get an idea of the size of it, by comparing the ant and the dime with the plant.
