Golden Morning

On a misty morning,
with the sun just over the horizon,
you can find gold...
I get back tomorrow!!

Nature Footstep Waters

This morning, the pond was covered in mist and geese.
The sun was just rising above the houses,
creating a golden glow.
The narrow end of the pond was frozen again.
I am linking with Nature Footstep Waters.

Misty Mornings

We have been having some foggy mornings,
so I have been taking a lot of photos of them.
I love the way the trees loom
 out of the mist.

Morning Mist

The water was warmer than the air, causing the mist to drift over the surface,
 reflecting the golden light.

Misty Morning

We arrived at the dog park before sunrise today, to find a little bit of mist in the fields.

Skywatch Friday

The skies have been varied over the course of the week. I never figured out why the mist was so far away from the river that morning,
 but the contrails were amazing.
The sun gilded the edges of the morning clouds,
and the approaching storm  caused such strange clouds over the cattails.

Watery Wednesday

This morning,
the early sun was
casting golden light
 onto the river,
and the mist rising from the water.

Morning Mist

The temperature was only slightly above freezing this morning,
so there was mist rising off the river.

Morning Mist

There were a couple of mornings cool enough to cause mist to rise off the water.

Watery Wednesday

Another misty morning, looking over a pond.

Reminds me of a poem I used to recite for my daughters -
One misty, moisty morning,
when cloudy was the weather,
I chanced to meet an old man
clothed all in leather.
He began to compliment
and I began to grin
How de do, how de do,
and how de do again.

Geese at Dawn

If you get out before the sunrise,

you can watch the changing effects of the light.

The water is still warmer than the air,

so the mist rises, and softens the golden light.

Great Blue Heron

This heron let me get very close
before he flew away into the mist.

Sunrise Mist

The light and the mist this morning combined for some stunning images!

These are my favourites!!
