Macro Flowers Saturday

I haven't posted any chicory flowers in the last month - I checked!
The stamens on these are curling because I took the photos in the afternoon, as the flowers were fading for the day.

The stamens may be curling, but the flower is still beautiful. These are great macros. I love the color of the blossom.

Chicory is my most favorite wildflower. I know the plant itself is spindly and unattractive, but the blooms! Oh, that shade of blue is the prettiest.

Just like "clear de lune"
Fantastic Stamens and pistills are also blue?

I love chicory, and your photos are fantastic.

How beautiful. That first photo looks like someone stuck little bits of silver glitter into the middle of the flower!

You have taken a common weed (wildflower) and made it spectacular. Very delicate colour

I have never seen chicory flowers before. They are such a nice shade of blue.
