Skywatch Friday

We took a daytrip to Morrisburg, site of this memorial to the Battle of Crysler's Farm, one of the decisive battles of the War of 1812.

The cannons are aimed toward the state of New York.

The actual battlesite has been flooded by the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Wow. I didn't know this battle. How sad. The cannons aimed at New York state say it all ...
