Bread Maker

One of the popular buildings at Upper Canada Village is the breadmaker. They use flour ground at the Village to make loaves of plain, hearty bread, which are sold in the shop at the gates. We were there between bakings, so the fire was simply smouldering, waiting.

If there is anything I have been craving for, it is a homemade fresh bread baked in woodfire clay or brick oven. They really taste yummy and country fresh.

My mouth is watering just thinking about that bread and the fragrance in that building. I hope you were able to get a sample.

I don't think I've ever had bread baked over coals before. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
