Wild Grape

The grape vines last all winter,
but few of them have any grapes left on them.
 This is an exception,
 and I enjoyed the opportunity
to capture it.
  And to do a little
 playing after the fact.
So hard to choose a favourite...

Skywatch Friday

We are back to cloudy skies, and threats of snow,
but I caught the frost on the grasses the other day.

Geese

There were still geese earlier this week.
Some are coming in for a landing on the pond.

Ice

The night of Saturday/Sunday was very cold,
but there was a strong wind blowing the length of the pond, so a layer of ice could not form.
By the time I walked the dogs,
there were balls of ice formed
around each stem sticking out of the water.
The bubbles are from the wavelets that passed under the ice.

NF Waters

That first snow of the winter again, and we created the second set of tracks in it. Annie wants to know why I have stopped moving again.
Today, I'm linking to NF Waters.

First Snow

Ottawa woke to the first snow of the winter.

And I kind of went overboard

 capturing it

 on plants and boulders.

I am linking this post with NF Blo-Ma.

Squirrel

This squirrel yelled at me
till he got a decent photo shoot.
   Then he left.

Today's Flowers

Well, they used to be flowers...
 but now they are acorns.

Geese Rising into the Fog

It was early in the morning,
and the geese were setting out to find breakfast.
I love the embossed effect of these photos!
