Wild Columbine

This is another plant I had never seen before today,

although I could put a name to it as soon as I saw it.

I love the combination of the red and the yellow!

I have columbine growing in my garden. It self seeds if you leave it alone. Very pretty, so delicate and yet so hardy. And, it likes some shade!

Oh! red wild C! I have seen it wild as yellow... now I'm going to be on the lookout for other colors. Gorgeous.

When I lived in Colorado, where Columbine is the State Flower, I used to see these sometimes up in the hills. It is against the law to pick them, and I didn't have a camera at the time. So now I have your pictures to remind me!!!

Beautiful!

Your columbines are out already! I have to run off to a spot where I know they grow and check!
