Bur Cucumber

The wild cucumbers are starting to bloom.

They spend the early part of the summer climbing up into the grasses and spruce trees,

then they blossom, and set seeds.

The raindrops on the grass tell you the size of the individual flowers.

These are great shots of what I've always called Indian cucumbers. But I like the name Bur cucumber better so I hope I can remember that.
