I am amazed at the flowers that are still blooming!

Peonies!

It's my birthday, and I am celebrating with peonies.

The end of last week, we had more than 2 inches of rain, in 48 hours. 

The gardens were well watered...

Yesterday morning was sunny,

but there was dew on the peonies.

And everything else, I suppose...

Is there anything better than dew on peonies?

The peonies have started blooming,

and there was rain in the wee hours of the morning,

to add the icing on the cake...

which are just starting to bloom.

Shattered Reflections

On garbage day,

 one of the neighbours put out a large mirror.

I was captivated by the raindrops

and the way the cracks distorted the reflections

 

Irises in the Rain

More flowers from the college garden,

but these are irises.

 There were many varieties

 that I did not even visit,

 especially in the rain.
