I seldom make my way down to the stream in the winter, but it was a lovely day, and the alternative was to go home...
Most of the ducks did not like us to get too close, but they would only fly 30 feet and land again.
Annie did try and make them fly further, but they were not cooperating,
so she barked at them, and came back to where I was working.

Nifty series of photos from your walk .... guess they figured this was THEIR spot?

What a fun walk. I do love seeing ducks play! They can be very territorial can't they?
love the photos...your dog is so cute...
Do you think the ducks were trying to get Annie wet?...She sure is a cutie and I'm so glad she didn't fall into those frigid waters. Thanks for sharing your walk.
I guess the ducks knew there really are not many places for them to go this time of year. ;-)
Beautiful series Judy! I love the photo of Anne - she is sweet:)
This is a great photos series, Judy! And Annie looks so cute out on the ice with the ducks! I've been playing with triptics today and hope to put out some photos today. :o)
Nice stream in the midde of the ice... they all seem to be enjoying the same...

gorgeous photos and what a day to potter by the water - we live near the Thames and its wonderful in the winter, easy to spot wildlife. Helen
I especially like the shot of Annie at the end. She looks very proud of herself, as much as it is possible to judge her expressions in a photo. The one duck taking off is neat too
You just know looking at the pictures that the water is freezing. I wouldn't want to be a duck. :)
Love the ducks in flight!
