The First Crocuses

Walking home from work today,

 I stopped to capture the first

 crocuses of spring.

Jake looked so sweet, napping after our walk and his breakfast.

Sprouts

I spent a few minutes in the garden,

 seeing what had poked its head above ground.

 There are lots of tiny leaves,

I saw this pair of mallards

 enjoying the newly open spaces

My Valentine's Day cactus is hanging on,

 still producing flowers,

 well on its way to becoming 

 a St. Patrick's Day cactus.
