I took these photos a few days ago, when there was frost.

Friday's Fences

Looking through the jumble of fencing that was pulled up for the sewer construction, I found these bits.

Friday's Fences

Walking along the new construction,
I found a pile of fencing which had been shoved out of the way.
I fell in love with the odd angles.
Then, I experimented with a number of filters on the computer.

Friday's Fences

Towards the end of a long walk, I spotted this stretch of fence beside a pond, and decided it was perfect for Friday's Fences.

Friday's Fences

This fence was put in place
 a long time ago.
Long enough that the tree is growing around the wire.

Friday's Fences

This fence was across a steep ditch, and I was not going to climb through it. But the angle I ended up with is interesting.

Friday's Fences

This short fence has been along the path for many years.
So many years that things are starting to grow in it...

Friday's Fences

We climbed to the top of the toboggan hill again, looking at the Virginia creeper trying to take over the fences, and the vetch prettying them up.

Friday's Fences

What wild grapes can do,
Virginia creeper can do better...
Although I have no idea how it got to a fencerow out in the middle of nowhere...

Friday's Fences

I love the textures in this photo - the wood, the lichen, and the rusty barbed wire!

Friday's Fences

I followed this wild grape vine along the fence,
admiring the way the leaves are coming along.
