Shadows

So many shadows on this log...

I am linking this post with Shadow Shot Sunday. Stop in and see what others have found!

Maple Tree

I love looking straight up at the trees!

Autumn Leaves

It is getting to be that time of year -

the leaves are changing colour, and falling.

Soon enough, the trees will be bare.

Cornfield in November

I was walking toward the cornfield,

and admiring how the sun worked its magic

on the dried leaves of the plants.

Not brown any longer,

but golden.

Add the frost on the tassels of the corn,

and the sun coming trough the silk,

and you truly have magic...

I am linking with Today's Flowers, so drop in for a visit.

Leaves

I love the patterns these leaves make in the sun.

It is hard to decide which pattern I prefer...

Wind

I like the way these images of the wind have turned out.

Sun and Leaves

It is so good to see the sun again!

I love seeing it come through the leaves,

 with or without frost.

I think I notice the sun coming through the leaves more in the fall than any other season...

Golden Birch Trees

I took these a couple of days ago, before Hurricane Sandy came to call...

Frost

We continue to have frosty mornings,

which find me crawling around on the ground

  capturing the tiny crystals

before they melt to dewdrops.

Sunlight through Trees

I can't decide whether the photo quite shows the mesmerizing way the dawn light caught the leaves on its way through the trees.

What do you think?

Shattered Reflections

On garbage day,

one of the neighbours put out a large mirror.

I was captivated by the raindrops

and the way the cracks distorted the reflections

Skywatch Friday

I don't remember what sort of a tree this is,

and I will have to get back out there and mark it,

or I will forever wonder

 what these interesting leaves are.

Currant Leaves

In the fall, the currant leaves were changing colour,

and touched by frost.
