Apple Blossoms

It is spring, and the apple trees are blossoming!

I love seeing the shadows the early sun casts on the petals!

Raindrops

Ladysmantle always catches the raindrops,

but so do apple blossoms

and lilacs.

I especially love the lilacs,

which are just starting to bloom.

Buds

The apple trees are starting to bloom.

 Most of the buds and blossoms

are pale, but these are so red!

 

Paths

Here are a couple of the paths at the dog park. It was raining off and on, so I was not spending a lot of time crawling on the ground to get photos of individual flowers.

Wild Apple Trees

These trees are growing alongside

the railroad right of way that has been turned

into a walking trail.

I love their delicate pink colour!

Double Apple Blossoms

This small tree was in the front yard of one of the houses we walk past.

I have never noticed it in bloom before.

Creamy Apple Blossoms

Yesterday's apple blossoms were pure white,

while today's are more creamy.

The stamens are different as well.

Of course, it could be some other member of the family, too. Don't quote me that either of them are even apple trees!

My daughters used to have a stuffed lamb named Apple Blossom, white with pink inside her ears.
