While I was walking along the rocky beach,
I saw half a dozen of these little plants, less than a foot tall.
Any ideas what they are?

I am not much conversant with the names of the flowers but this one is really lovely. I like the subtle shades of the petals.

this looks to be a cleome, perhaps the wild variety, we cultivate them in the greenhouse I work in and I have a few blooming in the garden. I enjoy your blog a great deal.
