The seed pods burst, and fling their seeds huge distances.
Then they just float downstream...

The flower is pretty but they are very prolific and invasive. A neighbour has some in her garden and they have spread to neighbour's yards are more numerous in her own this year.
Hi there - these are nice looking plants - its a shame that they are so invasive. We use to have the same problem with this plant in the UK.
