I was walking in the woods this morning and spotted our first asters too. However, I'm not ready to call them the first asters of fall. How about the first asters of mid summer? (It is a "glass is half full" thing.)

These are beautiful blossoms. I love the color. I can only hope that these flowers mean cooler temperatures are on the way.
