Watery Wednesday

One rainy morning, we watched the ducks enjoying the flooded creek.

The duck in the foreground is just landing.

You can see how close they are to the ice.

Looks almost like home - only we have more snow. Cold for people and birds! It is a good thing they have some open water! Nice shots!

I think this week's most popular topic is the duck. Well, no surprise there, ducks are very adorable and so are your photos.

I always marvel at how ducks don't seem to mind icy water. Must be well insulated!

Love the shots! It does look cold. It's a good thing those duckies have their own 'down coats.' :)

More ducks! Surely spring is around the corner. Great shots. Also loved your pictures of the ice sculptures. They always fascinated me, such works of art.

They sure don't let a little ice get in their way, do they?!!

I like these shots. It still amazes me that birds swim and hang out in all of that snow and icy water.

Great shots, we are in the middle of summer in Australia so it seems strange to me to see all these snow and ice pictures ...

It never ceases to amaze me how ducks swim in icy water. It makes me shiver to think about it. ;-)
