Another Bridge

I discovered this little bridge in the summer
and we paid another visit to it this morning.
The frost pattern is different from yesterday's bridge.
We circled back around, to catch the shadows.
Annie (furry) and Jake (whippet) both approved of the long walk, and the new park.

Watery Wednesday

The handrail of the bridge is covered with frost in the morning. This is the bridge I lean over to capture reflections in the little stream. This is the waxing moon in the evening.

Memorial

I don't remember where I took this photo, but it was along a back road, and the buildings were long gone.

Raspberry Leaves

Last month, the raspberry leaves were glowing
in the afternoon sun.

Wild Grapes

Earlier in the fall, I took these photos of the wild grapes using an apple tree as an arbor.
 Or a fence.
And I spent an afternoon helping a friend pull the grapes off the vines
 preparing to make grape jelly.

Black Berries

I have no idea what sort of plant this is,
but I like the black berries and the red stems.
In a lot of ways, it looks like a wild grape vine,
but in other ways, it is different.

Pineapple Plant

The grocery store has a couple of these pineapple plants on sale. It looks as though the top of a previous plant was put into the soil, and grew a baby pineapple. I wonder if I could make one of these, the next time I buy a pineapple...

Cow Parsnip

Drifting back to summer, when it was warm, I found these photos of the cow parsnip against the water in the pond.

Friday's Fences

A lot of the farm fences around here are no longer functional, since the deer and birds can go over them so easily.

Skywatch Friday

It was sunrise, and a bit foggy, so the skies were orange, to both the east and the west.

Barn

This barn doesn't look too bad from some angles,
 but it is falling apart...

Geese in Flight

The geese were quietly (for geese) feeding in a field,
when something startled them, and at least a thousand launched into the air...

Cattails

The cattails continue
 to explode.

Dandelions

We still have dandelions blooming, and setting seed.
 With or without frost,
depending on the time of day.

Watery Wednesday

We walked a different route, and found another small stream, with reflections of the surrounding trees.
