Evidence of Wild Turkeys

I don't remember seeing wild turkey tracks in the snow, but this week, they are all over.
The turkeys drag their feet through the snow, and even use the track people and dogs have trodden down.
The most interesting thing I found, was the wing marks in the snow.
I don't think the bird was taking off,
but the flight feathers dug into the snow.
I am linking this post with NF Winged.

An incredible find! There seems to be a story behind these markings! They look like art works!

I can't wait to show this post to my husband. We have lots of wild turkeys on our property and we do not want anybody shooting them or the deer. We love all of Mother Nature's babes. This has to be one of the most fascinating and interesting posts I have read in a while. genie
