Last Sunday, this turtle was trying to cross the highway, so we turned around and carried it to the weeds at the side of the road.
Then yesterday, its cousin was on the rocky outcrop where I photographed the snapping turtle a few weeks ago.
Is this one also laying eggs?

You certainly are finding your share of turtles lately. But since you get such good pictures I hope you keep it up.
Ha! Interesting how they try to hide, eh? I haven't seen a turtle on land for ages. I see a lot on logs though. They hide by slipping into the water...and that actually works. ;-)
That is a lot of turtle you've been seeing. I think they are so interesting.
How cool! I so rarely see turtles unless their in a lake at a botanical garden or something like that.
