I think this is a red or swamp maple, female.
Nothing else in the book looks even remotely similar.

Whatever it is it's absolutely gorgeous. I just love those flowers with that neat green colour and the red buds are just as pretty. Great find and great shots.

I have no idea what it is, but they are so lovely! The lime green, yellow and red is a beautiful combination!
I also am learning my trees. I think when it is in leaf you may be able to make a positive id. It is lovely bud!
I thought of you when I cut some lilacs yesterday. They smell divine!

I don't know which tree you've captured, but your macros are exquisite. The colors are beautiful.
Awesome. These are great too! I've never seen these before either. Trees sure can produce some pretty and interesting little flowers can't they?
