Geese

Geese usually have their squabbles too far away for me to capture them, so I like this image.
And it is gosling time -
I found two families along the banks of the river.
I am linking this post with NF Winged today.

Lily of the Valley

My Mom has a large patch of lily of the valley
all along the east side of the driveway.
I spent some time every day taking photos
and simply breathing the fragrance.
I tried lying on the driveway,
photographing up into the bells.
Capturing the blossoms with the sun fading in
the west brought new colours into them.
I am linking this with NF Blo-Ma today.

Rust

I am slowly getting all the photos from Woodstock processed.
My back is a bit better,
and I can sometimes sit for an hour at a time.
It is still frustrating, though.
While my father was alive,
I did not feel free to explore his stuff
but I have taken a lot of photos
before the rest of it goes into the dumpster
or is sold for scrap.
These are my favourite images of rusty things.

Jack in the Pulpit

My Mom's jack in the pulpit
was blooming while I was
in Woodstock last month.

First of the Peonies

The peonies have started blooming,
and there was rain in the wee hours of the morning,
to add the icing on the cake...

Flowering Almond

At the park, capturing the blossoms
against the morning sun
and the water...
capturing the light...

Southside Park

I seldom walk this shore of the pond in Woodstock.
I was so impressed with the spring trees and their reflections, though.
I am linking this with NF Waters.

Grape Hyacinths

Grape hyacinths have to be my favourite
of the spring garden flowers.

Violets

Most people think of purple violets
as being the only sort,
but that is not so.
There are at least 20 types in my book.
only a few in my yard, though.
I still have to crawl through the grass,
capturing each one...
