Rusty Box

I have gone back to the photos of my Dad's stuff which I took last year. I wonder whether I kept any of these old cigarette boxes...

He kept so many odds and ends in them.

Asters at the Construction Site

I picked some asters to bring home, then walked through the construction site. 

I placed my bouquet into this convenient steel pipe, while I captured something else, then had to capture the bouquet as well.

Rust

I walked a new area and found a tangle of wire on the ground.

Abstract

I am being very indecisive this week -

I couldn't decide which of these images to post for NF's Abstract meme, so I am posting them both.

The first is an old log, half in the river, but that black spot makes it look like a dinosaur.

The second is an old wood and iron thing lying on a rock, part of the landscaping at Mom's new place.

Abstract

Some of the photos from my Dad's basement that are all about shapes and colours, rather than images.

I am starting to forget what some of them actually were...

Rust

I am slowly getting all the photos from Woodstock processed.

My back is a bit better,

and I can sometimes sit for an hour at a time.

It is still frustrating, though.

While my father was alive,

I did not feel free to explore his stuff

but I have taken a lot of photos

before the rest of it goes into the dumpster

or is sold for scrap.

These are my favourite images of rusty things.

Abstract Photos

I didn't get a lot of photos taken while I was in Woodstock, but I did spend some time with this old blowtorch, before they took it away for sale.

Rusty Bolts

I was walking along a path I seldom use,

 part of which goes over a former railroad bridge,

 when I noticed the bolts

 in the sunlight.
