Macro Flowers Saturday

The sun was up, but it had not yet melted the frost from the roses.

I am amazed at the way the roses have survived so many nights of frost.

Goose Feather in the Ice

These goose feathers were lying in the water
in the evening, and gathered dew drops
 as the temperature fell.
The temperature continued to drop, and the water froze,
 trapping them in ice.

Last of the First Snow

The sun always carves the edges of the snow
 into traceries of ice
 before it all melts.

Daylily

The gardens at the grocery store still have some blossoms.

Morning Mist

The water was warmer than the air, causing the mist to drift over the surface,
 reflecting the golden light.

Skywatch Friday

There was some sunshine, briefly.

Sunlight and Leaves

I love the sunlight shining through leaves - any sort of leaves -
 these are both violet leaves.
And maple, and a frost covered geranium from early this morning.

Pumpkin in the Snow

Sunday, before the snow melted, I took the pumpkin, waiting to be cooked, outside for a short photo shoot!

November Raspberries

The raspberries were caught in the snow on the weekend.
I managed to pick about a cup and a half, after the snow melted. I put them into the freezer before they had a chance to thaw.

Watery Wednesday

More photos of the first snowfall - black eyed Susans,
 burdock,
 tansy,
 lambs ears,
 hydrangea,
and borage.

Apple Tree

On a new walking trail,
I found a crab apple tree with yellow fruit.

Catmint

The catmint in my garden is still blooming.

Snow on the Roses

Sunday morning, we woke up to a couple of inches of the white stuff.
I was able to spend a bit of time photographing
 between church and work.
The first snow is always fun.

Red Leaves

I have no idea what sort of a shrub this is,
but every fall, the leaves turn the most vibrant red...
