Zinnias and Shadows

Shadows and Fences

I couldn't decide which fence to post, so I am including both of them. I find some wonderful shadows with the early morning sun...

Blue Vervain

While the blue vervain plants are a couple of feet tall, the flowers themselves are tiny, about an eighth of an inch across.

In past years, I have only found one or two plants,

but this year, there have to be about 50!

Most of them in a cow pasture, but the cows don't eat them...

Sun Through Snow

I love it when the snow piles on fences or branches,

and then the sun shines through the layers.

Snowfall

On Friday, I was returning home bringing the snowstorm.

It was a mixture of rain and snow,

so I was happy to be a passenger.

Overnight, the temperature dropped and it was all snow.

Rusty Chain

I have no idea why this length of chain

 is hanging over the fence,

 but I capture it a couple of times a year, anyway...
