 This fence was across a steep ditch, and I was not going to climb through it. But the angle I ended up with is interesting.

Wild Grapes

The wild grapes are starting to ripen.

 I love them, just kissed with the dew.

The wild grapes catch the snow,

 then it melts, and forms drops or ice.

I have never noticed the juice staining the drops before.

This old fencepost has been gathering wild grape vines for a lot of years now.

The wild grapes are ripe,

and ready for the picking.

I used to make jelly from them, but it has been a few years now.

The wild grape leaves were catching the morning sun. I like the contrasting greens, between them and the trees around them.

The baby grapes are forming, too.

This is the first year that I have looked at the wild grape vines, and seen the flowers. They are very small, as you can tell by the size of the vine in this first photo.

I am learning so much about the world around me.

I am not sure whether these are the flowers, or the beginnings of the fruit, but they are definitely wild grape vines on an old fence.
