Wild Sunflowers

There are half a dozen types of wild sunflowers, and I do not have them figured out.
These are the ones that grow around here.
This year, I am fascinated with the buds...

Every time I see them, I go, sunflowers .. maybe the color or just the size but still, I've always been in awe.

We've got several varieties of those confusing yellow flowers too. Hard to sort them all out.

Such sturdy, brave flowers. :-) They grow in the sidewalks here in Minneapolis, and I always smile when I see them...
