Experiment on the Bus

I would really love for you all to comment on these images.
I took them from the bus, on the way to visit my Mom last week.
On this one, you can see a bit of reflection in the window.
I started taking them, envious of the beautiful lake and mist
on the other side of the road,
and decided to see what I ended up with.
I like some of the trees near the road, racing past,
while the background is in focus.
The bus windows are polarized, so the images are a bit dark...
I have deleted most of them, but these are the best of the lot.
You can click to enlarge them, too.
This last one is my favourite...

Que lindas imagens você conseguiu! Amei todas! Algumas deixa transparecer a velocidade do ônibus. Me apaixonei pela última imagens com as casinhas ao longe. Parece um pintura.

Don't you love drive-by shootings? They are fun, and you never know what you will capture!!
Well done.

I love taking photos in motion Judy… it is fun to see the surprises when you get home… and the blur just adds to the images… These are terrific!

Please consider yourself officially invited to participate this year's 5th Annual Gratitude (word) Quilt. Instructions (it is very simple) and a link that explains the origin of the word quilt can be found at the top of my blog. In past years there have been participants from every continent except Antarctica. If I’ve already invited you, I apologize... I am trying to reach as many people as possible, and sometimes forget whom I’ve already left this message for in a comment. My intention is most certainly NOT to spam you. I hope you'll join us, it is really amazing when all the words unfurl on November 27th, Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

I think your experiment was a big success. I like the way you kept the background in focus, while the blurred closer objects gave a sense of movement. The last photo is wonderful, but I like the beautiful clouds in an earlier photo as well.

I love how I can literally feel the motion. My favourite is the clouds though. Beautiful fall scenery you got to experience on the train.
