Milkweed

I have been saving up a month of milkweed images,
waiting for the buds to develop and the blossoms open.
Now the fields smell so sweet!!!
I am linking this with Nature Footstep Blo-Ma,
so come and visit all the blossoms.

What a great idea, to take a series of shots to show the progress of the flowers opening :-)) Lovely shots.

Hello Judy,
thanks a lot for stopping by and leaving a comment under my latest post about the "different shades of white" (roses).
I was never aware of the plant you captured - the milkweed. But thanks to Wikipedia I was able to learn that we call it "Asclepias" or "Seidenblume", literally translated into "silk flower".
Thanks for sharing your flower photos showing the different development of blossoming.
Uwe.
