Bittersweet Nightshade

Nightshade vines are all over, but I have never before stopped to appreciate their beauty.
The berries are only toxic if eaten in quantity, so I think I am safe in capturing them...

Very pretty, Judy. I suspect they are so bitter it would be a job to eat enough to make you sick.

They are more bitter than sweet...I didn't get a stomach ache from them. But then I only ate a couple of berries. They tell me that I really took my life in my hands though.
The estate is covered in these. They don't seem to put a dent in the squirrel population.
