Queen Anne's Lace

Compare these lush August Queen Anne's lace blossoms, 
with the tiny one I found this week,
  which has been mowed half a dozen times over the summer.

What happened to the purple dot Queen Anne surrounded by her lace? As I recall, maybe not flower heads have it.

I've always loved Queen Anne's Lace. My grandson called them snowflakes when he was small. Lovely photos!
