Butter and Eggs

I am going to have to apologize to everyone for calling this toadflax.
Toadflax flowers are very similar, but nearly twice as large.
My mother has always called this railway grass, a name which I never thought suited
this sprightly little flower.
So I shall have to train myself to call it butter and eggs from now on...
The orange patch is the honey guide, and moths will attempt to reach it, even if the blossom is between plates of glass, or if the honey guide has been cut out and pasted to other species.

One of my favorite wild flowers from my childhood. :)

Nice captures, especially that with raindrops!
I love these flowers too, which I've just seen for the first time almost two years ago when I moved here. They seem to me like full of sunshine.
