Butter and Eggs

I am working at getting all the photos I took during the summer edited.
Considering how long butter and eggs blooms, I do not have many photos of it...

First Frost

We had first frost last week.
I only took 170 photos, so I am still editing them,
but I had to share some of my favourites, so far.
I am linking this post with Nature Footstep Blo-Ma,
so please drop in to see more blossoms, and other macros!

Butter and Eggs

More dew on more flowers!
I love the tiny perfection of butter and eggs,
 and the delicate colours!

Butter and Eggs

I am going to have to apologize to everyone for calling this toadflax.
Toadflax flowers are very similar, but nearly twice as large.
My mother has always called this railway grass, a name which I never thought suited
this sprightly little flower.
So I shall have to train myself to call it butter and eggs from now on...
The orange patch is the honey guide, and moths will attempt to reach it, even if the blossom is between plates of glass, or if the honey guide has been cut out and pasted to other species.
