Russian Olive

On a rainy morning, I waded through the tall grass to check the Russian olive tree near the pond.
The leaves are coming along well.

It is not the first thing one associates with Russia but then the country is so very large and spans many climatic conditions.

Love your lilac !!!

I have often wondered what these trees look like. There is a spot near me that has the most beautiful smell in the spring and they tell me it's the Russian Olive trees in a nearby field. But, I can never see them.

I lost my olive tree - ie: it died, so I'm envious;-)
