Hollyhock and Bumblebee

I was photographing some hollyhocks against the cloudless sky,
when a bumblebee appeared.
And of course,
I had to wait for her to come out again...
I am linking this post with Skywatch Friday.

Foxtail Lilies

I have posted photos of the white foxtail lilies before,
but the yellow ones have only started blooming.
They are much shorter than the whites.

Rose of Sharon

A friend invited me to photograph
 his rose of sharon shrub.
It had been flowering for several weeks, and looked ready to go another one, at least.
And the bees were loving it!

Bumblebees and Honeybees

False Lupines and Bumblebees

This is Thermopsis lanceolata, from the garden at the college.

A sunny flower that had the bees flying about it. Considering the shutter speed was a 250th of a second, I wonder how fast their wings were actually moving...

This last photo is looking at her, head on.

Roses at Algonquin College

This old climbing rose had no label.

The trunk was nearly six inches across, at the ground.

But this bumblebee loved it.

As did the honey bee.
