Wild Parsnip

I have called this plant cow parsnip for years,
slowly coming to admire its blossoms,
but when I was checking my book tonight,
I found that cow parsnip has white flowers.
 So I went to Google,
and found this is wild parsnip, not listed in my book...

I have seen this many times only in white as you said. Now you have given me a name for it. Next up is to look for a yellow like you have here. Thank you for the comment to my Macro Monday post. I'll have some more sand photos coming throughout the week.

and I adore it still, whatever the real name :). Isn't it rather good to learn something new though?

Wild parsnip is always one of the first BIG plants I see out in the woods. It really takes off and I like its pretty colors.

Great macro photos of the parsnip. I am sure I have seen this and not known what plant is was!

Excellent series of photos. Yes, I know that plant, if it should have a strong unpleasant smell.

Judy, it makes me think of dill, but you would definitely know if it was dill as it has a very distinctive aroma.
