The dogtooths have been blooming
in the woods at the Beaver Pond Trail.
 They are also called trout lilies,
 maybe because of the markings on the leaves.
 The leaves cover a lot of ground,
 but there are not that many flowers.
 I wonder why...

I'm not sure why there aren't many flowers. Sometimes there are lots! I think the plant has to mature a few years before it'll send up a blossom.
