I found this tiny fern growing beside some rocks.
I have never seen such a small fern, but you can see the fiddleheads.
It is barely two inches tall, shorter than this dogtooth leaf.
Another plant I will have to look for on my next visit...

I will be pulling up some fiddleheads today. Make a nice veg on the plate. Awful salad though. boiling will take out the bitterness.
