Friday's Fences

The sun was rising behind the heavy clouds, but on this side of them, there was a scattering of snow, and a bitter wind. Parts of this fence are covered with the remains of raspberry canes.

I tried to figure out what it is about these pictures that makes me gasp - when I enlarged them, I realized it's the LIGHTING. It looks like the sun came out in just this one tiny spot, while the background is dark and mysterious. It's BEAUTIFUL!

Ah, memories of sweet summer raspberries...

PS: I'll get to enjoy a bit of winter (it's here now!) before I leave--but yes, hard to give up several months of skiing.

Your fence with the snow piled up on the top is so very pretty. It is a perfect shot for this time of the year. Nice contribution. genie
