My mother always grows purple basil,
and dries it before first frost
for use in the winter.

Purple basil makes a great pesto!
I grow green basil and LoVe the taste I wonder if purple has a different taste?
My veggie garden was such a failure! Glad you can share photos. sigh I went to out local farmer's store and bought pumpkins and gourds. I told them - glad to go to the pros!
