Beech Leaves

Some of the small beech trees keep their leaves all winter.

That makes for some colour and texture in the woods.

The contrasts are amazing. The lacy parts, the smooth parts, the way the light makes some of the leaves glow. Wonderful series of pictures!

Love the lighting Judy!
I love the texture, especially where the leaf is eaten away and it's just skeletal like.

Beautiful shots, Judy! I actually like it when certain trees or shrubs keep some of their leaves during winter. It gives me hope during the long, cold, snowy winter of the leave that will come back again. :o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
