New Stump

On one of my walks,
I found a tree which had recently been cut down,
and examined the details closely.
I am linking this post with Nature Footstep Abstract
and with Zoom in Zoom Out.

it is beautiful. Once I had the opportunity to follow the decay of a stump for many years. It was very interesting.

Love the beads of sap. You should link this to a meme that I participate in at this blog site:

It would fit perfectly!!!

Brilliant macros! Getting as close to uncover its beauty is a true art form. Makes an old stump really fascinating.

I especially like the image with the sap. Macros are certainly great for abstracts like these. Some times it is impossible to tell what they are, but they are still beautiful.
