Blue False Indigo

Another plant from the gardens at the college,
blue false indigo is a native North American plant.
It is a small shrub, about three feet tall, probably herbaceous
(at least, I have not found any trunks or branches on it, just stems).
It is obviously a member of the pea family,
and I love the blue colour!
And the ladybugs!

It's a lovely plant. I really like how you've captured the ladybug on one blossom!

The contrast in colors of the lady bug on the flower was a great capture.

You must be living in a splash of colours with all the flowers around you. I like that one with the lady bug.
In answer to you question about the ostrich chicks, they are miniatures of their parents, only they have more down on their necks and colourwise they are more of a dappled brown, for camouflage. Unfortunately I don't have many decent pics of them, but if you follow this link in my blog you will see some - http://themaxefiles.blogspot.com/2007/12/w-for-wolwefontein-and-wagon.html
