Clematis Seeds

On an October afternoon, after the rain, I spotted this clematis going to seed.
I love the way the sun behind it catches the raindrops!

Seed Head

I have no idea what plant this is, but isn't it lovely with its crown of snow?
I am linking this post with NF Waters.

Queen Anne's Lace

I know the Queen Anne's lace
quit blooming a couple of months ago,
but I love the bird's nest effect of the seed heads,
 especially with frost.

Cattails

The cattails are starting to fluff.
Most of them are waiting for the winter birds.

Black Eyed Susan

I have visited the black eyed Susans

 a few times this month.

The seed heads are almost as lovely as the blossoms.

Today's Flowers

I have no recollection of these little plants in bloom, but aren't the seed heads beautiful in the sunlight?

Wild Asters

The morning sun caught these wild asters, gone to seed, in its golden light.

Feather

This feather was caught amongst the seeds,
and I photographed it over the course of several days.

Coltsfoot

The coltsfoot is going to seed, and I barely saw it this year!

Poppy Seed Pods

I love the shape of the seed heads from the poppy plants.

I shook seeds all over the gardens, so I am sure there will be more next year.

Coltsfoot Going to Seed

The coltsfoot flowers are mostly gone now.

The seed heads are rather like dandelions, only more dense.

Although I have never seen a cluster of dandelion clocks like this.
