Catch the Light

The sun had just cleared the horizon when I captured the light refracted in this glass ornament.

Catch the Light

There is nothing like the sparkle of the first snows of the winter!
The way some of the snowflakes catch the light just so,
and the blue shadows....

Catch the Light

I captured these images one afternoon, at the Parliament Buildings. I noticed the shape of the windows inside the tower, though it would have been better with a longer lens. But you use what you have...
These are the east and north faces of the tower.

Catching the Light

This is a post about sunrise,
but I am not looking at the sunrise itself.
 A couple of years ago,
I noticed the way the rising sun
caught the hydro wires and towers,
and I have finally managed to capture that.
It is a fleeting thing
so I have to get the three of us to the towers
in time to capture it before it fades.
Nature Footstep has included catching the light into her Monday Inspiring Photos.
