Hen and Chicks

I was at the college, and noticed the hen and chicks is in bloom.

 Another of those odd looking flowers that are so fascinating.

 I was home before I realized I had not captured any of the plants, themselves.

A week and a half ago, I posted this photo of the Sempervivum braunii in bud at Algonquin College.

This week, it was in full bloom.

Hen and Chicks

There were two varieties of hen and chicks. This one is named Sempervivum braunii,

and the flowers were only in bud. The smaller variety was not labeled,

but was in full bloom.

You can get an idea of the size of it, by comparing the ant and the dime with the plant.
