Bowman's Root

Earlier in the spring, I posted pictures of the blossoms of the bowman's root at the college. This is what the seedpods look like now.

I had to jump back a step and see the flower...beautiful stars that it produces. The seed heads are just as interesting.

Well, this IS embarrassing because when I looked Bowman's root up I realized it's growing in one of my shade gardens. Guess I didn't know the name of the plant! Hahaha!

How does time pass so fast? It doesn't seem so long ago that this was in bloom!!!
