Bowman's Root

Bowman's root is from the eastern parts of North America. It grows readily at the college, but I have not seen it in the wild.

 It grows as a herbaceous perennial, maybe 4 to 5 feet tall.

Earlier in the spring, I posted pictures of the blossoms of the bowman's root at the college. This is what the seedpods look like now.

Bowman's Root

This is a native of North America, called Bowman's Root.

The shrub is about three feet tall, but I do not remember whether it is woody or herbaceaous.

It is simply covered with these starry blossoms.
